2026.06.30
Against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving global trade landscape, cross-border e-commerce has emerged as a key driver in advancing the high-quality development of China’s foreign trade. Since the establishment of national cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones, the system has continued to expand and innovate, forming a nationwide, coordinated development framework. This has propelled Chinese brands from simply “selling goods globally” to “building brands globally.”
Leveraging policy support and the wave of global consumption upgrades, the industry is increasingly focused on how to help enterprises effectively address the pain points of going global and efficiently connect with high-quality global resources.
Recently, the Guangzhou International Fashion & Lifestyle Fair was introduced as a key promotional project at the 2026 National Comprehensive Pilot Zone Exchange Seminar. Hosted by the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and co-organized by the Organizing Committee of the China Cross-Border E-Commerce Fair, the event brought together nearly 100 guests to engage in in-depth discussions on cross-border e-commerce policy innovation, industrial synergy, and upgrading of go-global models.
During the seminar, Ms. Zhu Wei, Deputy General Manager of POLY EVENT, introduced the inaugural Guangzhou International Fashion & Lifestyle Sourcing Fair, co-hosted by POLY EVENT, GRANDHUB, and HUIYUAN CULTURE GROUP, sharing practical insights into how exhibition platforms can support foreign trade exports and the globalization of industrial clusters.
The inaugural Guangzhou International Fashion & Lifestyle Fair will be held from October 30 to November 2, 2026, at the Poly World Trade Center Expo in Guangzhou. The fair is expected to cover 40,000 square meters, attracting over 1,000 high-quality exhibitors and 30,000 professional visitors. Focusing on four core categories—fabrics and apparel, wearable beauty, lifestyle, and pet supplies—the fair aims to establish itself as a premier professional platform for export trade sourcing.
Addressing key pain points faced by enterprises going global—such as a lack of quality buyers, weak brand premium, unstable orders, and insufficient trend insights—Ms. Zhu detailed several core advantages of the fair during the promotional session.
"Leveraging over 20 years of exhibition expertise and 26 years of foreign trade supply chain experience, we have built a database of nearly 1.5 million core buyer contacts across more than 170 countries. We have integrated resources from over 300 industrial clusters nationwide and gathered a wide range of internationally renowned retailers and mainstream cross-border platforms." With this solid resource base, the fair will connect global buyer resources and cross-border e-commerce channels to unlock four key growth pathways for foreign trade: customer acquisition, product selection, branding, and orders—enhancing the efficiency of supply-demand matching.
Located in the core Pazhou exhibition area of Guangzhou, the fair aligns with the peak international sourcing season. Capitalizing on the Greater Bay Area’s trade hub advantages, it will precisely target four major sourcing groups: distribution channels, integrated retail, cross-border e-commerce, and brand manufacturing—achieving full supply-demand coverage. To facilitate efficient global business matching, the fair will offer a 365-day online business matching platform, live virtual tours, and post-show dedicated sourcing groups—extending business opportunities throughout the year.
Additionally, the inaugural fair will feature four cross-border ecological experience zones for immersive product selection, alongside professional forums, targeted business matching sessions, and an after-party networking reception—offering a one-stop platform for trend analysis, precise supply-demand connection, and high-end business networking, all aimed at empowering Chinese enterprises to capture global market share.
The success of this promotional conference marked the first time the Guangzhou International Fashion & Lifestyle Fair entered the purview of the national comprehensive pilot zone system, deepening industrial cluster representatives’ understanding of the fair’s platform value and resource advantages. Backed by policy momentum from the pilot zones and a foundation of industrial integration, the Guangzhou International Fashion & Lifestyle Sourcing Fair is poised to accelerate its development into a key platform for China’s fashion and lifestyle industrial clusters to seize high-growth export opportunities and achieve global brand success.
